Sean Dunn

Ph.D. student - Phoenix

I was born and raised in Phoenix, Arizona where I attended Arizona State University for my undergraduate degree. My major was Microbiology, where I explored with great interest both environmental and clinical study of the field. After leaving college and academic based labs I pursued a career in medical diagnostic sciences. I earned my American Society of Clinical Pathology (ASCP) certification for Molecular Biology, and practiced both clinical micro and molecular biology diagnostic sciences in several different medical labs in Phoenix, Arizona. My love for the basic sciences and academia was never far from mind and heart as I found myself back at graduate school. I have tasked myself to be a part of the revolution in cellular and molecular based medical interventions that are soon to translate from basic science to medical practice. My interests include induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSC), regenerative medicine, and cell signaling pathways. I reside in my happy home with my partner Michelle, and our daughter Olivia.
